A good field of cars and pleasant, but breezy conditions,
greeted race fans for Van Wyhe Livestock Kids night sponsored by Andy’s Tree
Service of Wallingford and Bridget’s Bucksnorts Brew Ha Ha and Grill of
Jackson. Picking up the nights feature race wins were Gordy Vogelaar,
Worthington MN, Andy’s Tree Service 360 Sprints; Frank Phipps, Everly IA,
Double Barrel Sprints; Luke Sathoff, Jackson MN, Performance Center IMCA
Stock Cars; Troy Gochanour, Armstrong IA, B Modifieds; and Dan Strandberg,
Worthington MN, Yellow Book Hobby Stocks.

Winters takes JSTS Win at Clay County Fair
Raceway
The Jackson
Speedway Touring Series held its first race outside of the Jackson Speedway,
this past Friday evening at the Clay County Fair Raceway in Spencer IA. The
event was the support division for the WDRL Late Models Firecracker 50.
Picking up the evening’s 25-lap main event was Scott Winters, Butterfield

Wins
The Jackson Speedway hosted its
longest running annual event this past Saturday night, the 31st
Annual University of Okoboji Race Night sponsored by Forbes Meats of Spirit
Lake IA and KICD radio of Spencer IA. The night featured extra money in the
purse plus twin features for the Andy’s Tree Service 360 Sprints. Picking
up the nights feature race wins were Clint Garner, Sioux Falls SD and Gregg
Bakker, Sioux Falls SD 360 Sprints; Mike Blomstrom, Ft. Dodge IA, Double
Barrel Sprints; Roger Tripp, Marathon IA, Performance Center IMCA Stock
Cars; Dustin Phillip, Fairmont MN, B Modifieds; and Dan Strandberg,
Worthington MN, Yellow Book Hobby Stocks.

brother)
Several people have asked me about my brothers website (he was seriously
injured in an accident memorial day weekend) and that is

Infield Tailgate Section is open this Saturday Night
This Saturday Night the infield tailgate section
for spectators in the infield will be open. If your coming for this, You will sign in for
this at our backgate, you will need to sign the release, and must be 14
years of age. Also no Bottles.
If you have never taken in a race from the infield, you should give this a
try, as it is an entirely new perspective.
Cost is $15, bring your own seating, and coolers and grills are not only
allowed but encouraged! Cost to bring in a vehicle is $5.

takes to the highways with Touring Series and ASA Member Track
Affiliation
Jon McCorkell, promoter of
Jackson Speedway, has his eye on the future, and it is looking at
both the new Jackson Speedway Touring Series and an ASA Member Track
affiliation as two ways for his racetrack to stand out and bring in
new race fans.
