at Jackson Speedway

A field of 85 cars turned out for the annual AGCO Employee races on Saturday, July 14. With sponsorship of the Pizza Ranch of Jackson and GCC Concrete, including a visit by the “Pink Lady” ready mix truck of GCC, the racing action was capped off with a huge fireworks display at the end of the evening’s feature events.

Heat race wins went to Megan Lappegard and Jason Shdelar in the Sport Compacts; Ernie Dailey, Malik Sampson and Brad Falline in the Hobby Stocks; Eric Kinnetz, Dan Paplow and Kyle Steuber in the Sport Modifieds; Bill Boles and Brandon Halverson in the 305 Sprints; Dustin Larson and Luke Sathoff in the Stock Cars and Skylar Prochaska and Gregg Bakker in the 360 Sprints. Feature victories went to Aaron Betz in the Sport Compacts, Justin Luinenburg in the Hobby Stocks, Eric Kinnetz in the Sport Modifieds and Bill Boles in the 305 Sprints. Feature wins also were recorded by Luke Sathoff in the Stock Cars and Gregg Bakker in the 360 Championship Sprints.

The Jackson Speedway Touring Series begins its Speedweek this coming Wednesday, July 18, with a stop at Sioux Speedway in Sioux Center, Iowa, then travels to Redwood Speedway in Redwood Falls on Thursday, July 19, before heading to Fairmont Raceway in Fairmont on Friday, July 20, and then culminating the week with the 34^th Annual Jackson Sprint Car Nationals on Saturday, July 21 at the Jackson Speedway. Svoboda Excavating and Erickson Trucks and Parts of Jackson will be sponsors for Saturday’s event.

Racing action will continue on Thursday, July 26 with the Eve of Destruction Demolition Derby and races in conjunction with the 2012 Jackson County Fair. Then on Friday night, July 27, Jackson Speedway will host the All Star Triple Play, with the All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Sprints, the JSTS Forbes Meats 360 Sprints and the A&W Trucking 305 Sprints.
